Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at The University of Iowa and the Cancer Research Alliance (CRA) have teamed up to provide hope this holiday season.
Starting Friday, November 14, you can shop at www.shopforcancercures.org for all your holiday needs, help us fight cancer, and not have to fight the crowds.
The CRA helps fight all cancers. The doctors and scientists from the Cancer Research Alliance’s cancer centers are working on revolutionary treatments across more than 100 different types of cancers. Rather than focus on a single form of cancer—be it breast, prostate or lung—new therapies and protocols across the board area being developed:
- Therapies that more precisely target any cancer without damaging
surrounding tissue
- Treatments that are tailor-made to a patient’s molecular profile
- Vaccines that teach the body’s immune system to seek out cancer cells and destroy them with little to no side effects
